We met in the summer of 2017 at a party at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, thanks to some mutual friends. Jillian spotted Ben from across the room and instantly knew he was the one—so much so, she told him a month into dating that she was going to marry him (which freaked him out).That fall, Jillian heard there was a party at Ben’s house and made sure she was there. From that night on, we were inseparable. We officially started dating on September 23, 2017.Until Ben graduated, Jillian practically lived at Ben’s fraternity house—better known as “The Swamp”- an unofficial living arrangement she looks back on with disbelief and amusement. We shared some of our earliest adventures in Connecticut including welcoming our first rescue, Bean, a teacup Yorkie senior-citizen who brought so much love into our lives. He’s no longer with us, but he’ll always be part of our story.A few years later, we made our way to Florida: a longtime dream for Ben, and a perfect fit for Disney World fanatic Jillian. These days, Ben has actually matched Jillian in Disney knowledge and enthusiasm, a plot twist literally nobody saw coming. Fittingly, Ben proposed in Magic Kingdom. After a few years in Florida, we have made our way up to New Jersey along with our giant chaotic horse-dog, “Donkey”. Our lives now revolve around Donkey’s schedule- we’re lucky he’s letting us sneak a wedding in.As for what’s next? We’re not entirely sure where the road will lead—but we’re so excited to walk it together.
